Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met on Saturday with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi at the ministry's Makkah Region branch.
The two officials discussed strengthening bilateral relations across various sectors, as well as the latest regional developments.

Iran’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia Alireza Enayati told Asharq Al-Awsat that Araghchi briefed Prince Faisal on the talks with the United States hosted by Oman.

He added that Araghchi’s visit comes within the framework of ongoing consultations between the two countries in various fields, including regional issues, matters of mutual interest, and the nuclear talks.

Head of the Hajj and Visit Organization in the Islamic Republic of Iran Dr. Alireza Bayat praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s efforts in serving pilgrims, noting that the Hajj season 1446 AH was marked by exceptional quality at all stages.

In a statement to the SPA, Dr. Bayat commended the meticulous organization at Saudi border crossings and the outstanding services provided.

He expressed appreciation for the high standard of services during the season, particularly highlighting the efficiency of air transportation programs, crowd management at the holy sites, and the implementation of health measures.

He emphasized that Iranian pilgrims expressed full satisfaction with the quality of services and organization, adding that the standards set by the Kingdom represent a model for excellence in serving pilgrims.
